As Learning and Development professionals we’ve been hired and expected to provide formal learning solutions. However, as is often the case, training or other formal methods are not the answer that will solve a performance problem. In fact, implementing a training solution when it isn’t going to work will can be a waste of time, resources, frustrate the learners and potentially lead to a loss of credibility.
In this week’s #GuildChat we engage the community to explore what learning professionals need to do When Training Isn’t the Answer. How do we explain this? How will the news be received? and how best to step outside of our perceived role to do what is right for the individual or the organization? Be sure to join in!
