TWIST Conversations: Adam Savage on Creativity, Storytelling, and Learning

Welcome to TWIST Conversations, where we chat with members of the Guild Community exploring current trends in learning, performance, and technology.

adam-savage-blue_234In this episode I chat with Adam Savage, co-host of the Emmy Award-nominated Discovery Channel Show MythBusters. Adam is one of our featured keynote speakers at the 2015 DevLearn Conference and Expo taking place September 30th through October 2nd in Las Vegas, where he’ll be exploring the relationships between curiosity, storytelling, and learning.

Here are a few highlights from our conversation:

[The reason I’m passionate about busting a myth] has changed over the 13 years we’ve been making this show.

Halfway through almost every single story something happens that we didn’t expect and we go and follow that, so the outline changes.

We aren’t trying to [be educational]… people can smell when you’re trying to worthy and to teach them.

What I’ve learned on this show is so fundamental, it has changed, at the most core level, the way my brain works as a person.

If you have a speaker or topic that you would like to see featured in a future episode of TWIST Conversations, please let me know.
