#GuildChat for 06/22/18: Our Experiences With Learning Independently

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, July 6th at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is on sharing our experiences with learning independently.

Last summer we celebrated the 4th of July with a #GuildChat on learning independence, looking at the topic from a strategic and organizational perspective. For this year we wanted to take a look at that same topic from a different perspective – our own personal experiences with learning independently.

Thanks to technology advances, independent learning approaches are more and more common these days, from things like Googling for help on immediate questions, learning new skills through watching YouTube tutorials, and mastering languages with Duolingo. But we’ve all got our unique experiences with ways we’ve found learning independently can work for us.

Join us in #GuildChat this week as we share what independent learning resources we use, what techniques we find help us when learning on our own, what stumbling blocks we’ve experienced when learning this way, and what tips we’d share about how to make this approach work.
