#GuildChat for 9/20/19: Get Out!

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, September 20th at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is on Getting Out.

The theme this week is about breaking free, getting out or getting away.

In our organizations, in our work, and in our tools we often need to just get out to get better. But how do you do it and where do you go? Join us this week as we explore this topic and share our strategies to free ourselves and our minds to improve what we do, find new ways, inspiration or just disconnect and refresh.

Prospective questions:

Q1 Do you get out from behind your desk to see how people work? If yes, how and how often is this needed?
Q2 We can often get lost in the tools and technologies of our work and those that support our work (email?). Do you struggle to get out of them? When you do, how do you feel?
Q3 Sometimes the tech we use gets outdated (hi Flash!). What are the warning signs should you look for that this might happen and how do you move on?
Q4 Sometimes we can’t get out of our own way. What are the characteristics or habits that can hold you back in your work?
Q5 How do you challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zones at work?
Q6 When new ideas are flowing, it can be hard to get out of the ideation stage of a project. How can you stop and actually commit to a course of action? What about when it’s clients/partners who can’t stop?
Q7 Moving on from a job or role can be hard to do. How do you know it’s time to get out from your current role/situation and find something new?
Q8 Sometimes we need to get out of the workplace to get new ideas. Where do you like to go to get inspiration or recharge your creative batteries?
