#GuildChat for 02/24/17: Learning From Your Biggest Fails

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, February 24th at 11AM PT/2PM ET. This week’s topic is Learning From Your Biggest Fails

We’ve heard it all before… you can’t really win until you lose and failure is the best teacher or my personal favorites where really successful people tell how they “failed” 100’s of times before they made it big!

Failure is frustrating and can be demotivating for many. Especially if the investment is large. And yet we all know that within those dark clouds of failure are silver linings of learning. How we find them, understand them and use them to our benefit seems to be the key to growth and success.

In this week’s GuildChat we’ll ponder our biggest failures and discuss what we learned from them. More importantly we will work to uncover why we were able to learn from them and how people can move beyond the emotional baggage of failure to ultimately achieve success.

So, pack up a few fails, flops and floundering moments from your past and join us this Friday at 2PM EST to discuss!

Prospective question:

Q1. We know learning from failure is important. Why is it so tough to do in the workplace?
Q2. Failure is rarely fun. What can you do to keep your momentum going after something goes wrong?
Q3. There’s a difference between productive and unproductive failure. Where would you draw the line between the two?
Q4. When do you know, after multiple failures, you should you just bag it and move on?
Q5. When a project goes wrong, what questions are good to ask yourself when reflecting on it?
Q6. People don’t like to admit failure. How can you help change this?
Q7. How does fear of failure prevent people/companies from taking the risks they need to?
Q8. How can you personally help make learning from failure easier for others?
