#GuildChat for 12/16/16: Micro-Learning in the L&D Toolbox

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, December 16th at 11AM PT/2PM ET. This week’s topic is Micro-Learning in the L&D Toolbox.

Recently, Nick Shackelton-Jones wrote a post titled Micro-Learning: The Next Big, Bad Idea. In it he made a critique at the current state of micro-learning as being more or less mini-courses. Not that this in itself is wrong but through his map of the underground (subway or tube) example he points out that when we reach for this solution instead of something even less sophisticated, we may be missing the mark. Is micro-learning the latest fad or is there more to it’s potential.

This week on #GuildChat we revisit the idea of “micro-learning” and explore not only what it is and what it isn’t but also when it is right and when it is wrong and what it could be.
