#GuildChat for 12/11/15: Is Training Dying?

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, December 11 at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is Is Training Dying?

Training is dead! Long live Training!  GuildChat_Logo

In this week’s #GuildChat we explore the notion that training, that age old institution for skill building in organizations, has outlived it’s usefulness in an age of instant connection, free flowing volumes of information and electronic performance support (EPSS). If Training is declining as a performance improvement solution what then becomes of the related roles and functions; trainers and learning and development departments?

But wait… maybe training is being impacted and altered by the various forces found in ever changing technology and the world of work and the consumer? Rather than dying, is training transforming to incorporate newer ideas, practices and tools making it’s impact even greater?
