The eLearning Guild community exists at the intersection of learning and technology. Our community is passionate about exploring how technology can be used to enhance and redefine the ways we look at organizational learning and performance. When new technologies have the potential to disrupt the status quo, conversations naturally emerge among people trying to make sense of the changes. When the conversations grow, and the desire for answers grows more urgent, we at the Guild feel a responsibility to host conversations that bring clarity and understanding to the disruption.

Why Video?

Technology has reduced the barriers associated with both the creation and consumption of video. In addition, there are new and exciting ways of making video interactive being introduced all the time. More and more organizations are exploring video as a larger part of their learning and performance programs. In short, the use of video is likely to expand and evolve a great deal in the coming years, and there is a pressing need for organizations to understand the opportunities and challenges of video.

A conference exploring video is also the perfect compliment to mLearnCon and the Performance Support Symposium. There’s a large amount of overlap in the mobile, video, and performance support spaces, so it makes sense to co-locate this new video learning-focused conversation along with the existing mobile learning and performance support events. Attendees at the conferences will have access to all three events, which will only enhance the context shared among these three unique but related conferences.

Already Using Video For Learning? Submit a Proposal!

Video is the fastest-growing medium in the world, and one that has the potential to disrupt how we look at content for learning. If your organization is already exploring how to use interactive video to enhance learning and performance programs, please submit a proposal to share your story. We are especially interested in sessions that explore cutting edge applications of video for learning purposes.
