British Library offers over 1 million free vintage images for download by Neil Bennett
It’s a challenge to find the right images to use in your elearning projects. Even more challenging is the need to find images you can legally use. Understanding the laws of copyright is challenging, and licensing content can be expensive. That’s why copyright-free assets like those recently made available by the British Library system are so valuable. The centuries-old copyright-free images range from book illustrations to photos, and cover everything from flowers to cycling and more. It’s definitely worth a bookmark. -David Kelly

I thought it was a worthwhile share in that once again we are seeing the consumerization of technology once held by only the most savvy.  Virtual Reality (VR ) is of growing interest to L&D to bring people closer to learning contexts without the travel and cost of “being there.” Imagine quickly creating immersive VR environments of your specific organization, how might this technology impact organizational learning? – Mark Britz

Games, implemented well, can have tremendous learning applications. This article shares a case study of gaming being used for learning, and specifically addresses how this approach is more effective than a typical lecture-style approach to teaching the same content. -David Kelly
