To grow one’s own knowledge and improve practice we typically seek out those we’d call experts. Historically expertise has been defined as having deep knowledge in a given area but today knowledge is something that seems to be in a state of ever-change and maintaining expertise takes continuous learning. Finding and learning from experts has been happening before recorded time but how has that changed in the rapidly changing world of information and knowledge today?2015-01-09_11-14-16

In this week’s #GuildChat we look at the role of the expert today, Who is an expert, how to determine expertise, and how to learn from them to improve our own practices as well as to use their knowledge to help others learn and perform.
