#GuildChat for 02/2/18: Tacit Knowledge Sharing & Supporting

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, February 2 at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is on Tacit Knowledge. 


Organizational knowledge can appear in many forms but categorically it is typically separated into two; explicit and tacit. The former being those items that are more tangible or codified – documents, instructional content, resources and lessons learned just to name a few. The latter of course is less tangible, it’s the knowledge that moves more freely between people in the conversations and show-me opportunities. It tends to be less refined, laden with emotion and context.

In this week’s #GuildChat we look closer at tacit knowledge and the impact it has on L&D and the role L&D can take to to support and channel it for the betterment of instruction as well as broader organizational performance.
