#GuildChat for 07/14/17: Learning Data and Analytics

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, July 14th at 11AM PT/2PM ET. This week’s topic is Learning Data and Analytics.

Data and Analytics are of growing interest in many business domains today from marketing and advertising to customer service and operations. Organizations are trying to collect and understand various data sets to hone their craft and improve their service and design.

L&D is no different and really hasn’t been. Any L&D professional and department worth it’s salt has been looking for and analyzing information about it’s programs for years (yes, before xAPI became a thing!). However today, due in part to the growing technical capabilities and discussions around Big Data, much more attention is on looking directly at learning interventions. The attention is not limited to programs and courses though. Many are looking at how the surrounding actions and activities of employees in and outside the work environment impact their performance.

In this week’s GuildChat, we’ll discuss the state of data and analytics in employee performance and how and what L&D (large and small) are doing to find the right data and the processes/tools to make sense of it for the benefit of employees and the organization. Join us!
