#GuildChat for 04/28/17: The Art of Compromise

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, April 28th at 11AM PT/2PM ET. This week’s topic is on The Art of Compromising

There’s an old Project Management adage that states “Do you want it good, fast or cheap? Pick two.” The idea being that you can’t have it all and that compromises must be made.

In our work we make compromises daily and yet still strive for the best quality results in our solutions. We make budget considerations where we pass on the latest and greatest tool in order to keep cost down. We make deals with stakeholders that may include having to have audio read over identical text (cringe!) and sometimes we make internal compromises that test our own convictions in order to best meet the needs of the organization but maybe not be ideal for the individual learner.

This week on #GuildChat, we will explore the compromises we make, how we reduce the risks and navigate the process. We will also discuss how to avoid having compromises lead to morale issues or worse, moral ones.
