#GuildChat for 03/04/16: Outside Inspiration on L&D Practices

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, March 4 at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is Outside Inspiration.GuildChat_Logo

At the core of L&D practices is sound learning theory, a keen eye on business practices, analysis and the learner in the context of their work.

Successful initiatives are not only a science but also an art and like any good artist we need to draw upon sources outside our realm, outside our comfort zones to inspire and inform our practices.  Where has L&D historically looked for impactful inspiration? What is the changing world and technology afforded us in our efforts to create meaningful learning experiences that meet both the needs and interest of organizational learners?

Join us as the community looks closer at those ideas, things and places outside L&D that inspire our practices.

 Perspective questions:

Q1. Where have you looked for Inspiration for learning initiatives? #GuildChat
Q2. How has technology has inspired your work? #GuildChat
Q3. Do you attend any specific non-L&D activities/events that inspire your work? #GuildChat
Q4. How do you leverage people’s natural everyday behaviors in your work? #GuildChat
Q5. How do you capture inspiration on the go? #GuildChat
Q6. How do consumer product trends influence your work?
Q7. Can inspiration be manufactured or is it more serendipitous? Explain #GuildChat

The eLearning Guild has always looked to the community to form the conversations around learning and technology. We’ve taken it a step further however and created a rotating group of  voluntary #GuildChat Advisors! Each Advisor is selected for their unique perspectives and involvement in the the conversations around the learning industry. For a 6 month period they will help formulate the topics and questions for our weekly chat. Have an idea for #GuildChat? Reach out to @britz or any of the current advisors!
