#GuildChat for 08/07/15: Theories and Practices

Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, August 7 at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Our topic for this week’s chat is Theories and Practice.

At the core of all good learning and support is research and the theory that drives the decision (or it should be). As learning professionals we consciously develop our formal learning solutions and use theory as a basis for them or as a reason not to design at all.2015-01-09_11-14-16

From Piaget and Gagne to Bandura and Vygotsky we have the knowledge readily available but do we leverage it? Which theories do we subscribe to and which do we dismiss? How has technology changed our use of various theories to influence learning and performance?

Join us this week on #GuildChat as we look closer at instructional, learning and other theories that influence our practice.
