TWIST Conversation: Sarah Gilbert on Using Adobe Captivate 8 for Mobile Learning
Welcome to TWIST Conversations, where we chat with members of the Guild Community exploring current trends in learning, performance, and technology.
In this episode of TWIST Conversations I chat with Sarah Gilbert of Public Health Informatics. We talk about what designers and developers need to remember when using rapid development tools for mobile projects, how Adobe Captivate 8 enhances mobile learning development, and the possibilities for learning that are available via mobile devices.
Here are a few highlights from the conversation:
What is your learning goal and where are your people when they need this?
It’s not just about publishing to something out to HTML5 and making it work on a device; it’s not taking all your old elearning and converting it for a mobile device; mobile learning is a far broader scope than that.
Learning on a mobile device just means “What are the things that a device gives you access to in that moment of need”?
You want to skill up on design because there is a huge world or universe of user interface design that is so critical to understand if you’re changing from elearning to mobile.
